Like the Olympics, but in Winnipeg!
This year the World Police and Fire Games 2023 is taking place here beneath the big prairie sky, bringing 58 events to town in one of the largest exhibitions of athletic talent on the planet. They had to hold the Surfing competition in Hawaii though; big surf is one thing we don't have.
Industrial Truck Service is proud to be a supplier for the WPFG 2023, an effort spearheaded by Richard and Susan here at head office in Winnipeg. Supplying both a pair of Crown WP 3200 walkie pallet jacks and a small fleet of dependable Crown PTH50 hand jacks, we're helping move the load so the athletes who've come to compete can focus on competition.
With more than 8,500 participants, the WPFG 2023 will showcase literally dozens of events from July 28th to August 6th. Ranging from Trap Shooting to Table Tennis, Angling to the Triathlon, and the far more specialized Ultimate Firefighter and Toughest Competitor Alive contest all will showcase the talents of law enforcement, firefighters, and police from 50 countries around the world. Just a few more days
With the opening ceremonies taking place Friday, July 28th at the Canada Life Centre (aka "The Arena" downtown) we're just a few days away from kickoff.
The schedule is pretty packed and with More Than 100 Km between some venues, you might have to pick and choose between your favorite events.
With all that said, if you keep an eye out for some of the behind the scenes action going on, you might just spot a Crown jack with the Industrial Truck Service logo on it, keeping things running without the fan-fare reserved for the athletes.
